Soggy Tatas and Other Weekend Adventures

Today was nothing short of adventurous. Honestly, I'm not even sure that's the right word, but bear with me. Let me walk you through it.

I kicked off the day by grocery shopping and seasoning my cast iron skillet. Sounds easy enough, right? It was. In fact, it may have been the highlight of my day, if that tells you anything.

After that, I prepped breakfast and lunch for the week, which, let's be honest, is really just me pretending to be a responsible adult.

Then the real adventure began.

I decided it was time to walk the dogs.

It was only sprinkling, so I thought, this is my moment. The weather is finally on my side.

I changed out of my pajamas, threw on some pants, shoes, and my trusty jacket. I skipped the shirt because, honestly, laziness is an art form, and I was convinced my jacket was waterproof.

Or so I thought.

About five minutes into the walk—roughly thirty feet from the car—I started feeling my upper back and shoulders getting wet.

"No big deal," I told myself. "It's just a sprinkle."

Except... it wasn't.

By the end of the walk, I had water dripping down my back, into my butt crack, and eventually even my tatas were getting in on the action. The rain was so determined it seemed to be making a direct route to my belly button.

Turns out my "waterproof" jacket wasn't waterproof at all.

It was basically a sponge with sleeves.

By the time we got back to the car, I wasn't just damp. I was thoroughly marinated.

But honestly?

Life is too short to get upset over soggy tatas.

Sometimes adventures aren't epic road trips or mountain hikes. Sometimes they're grocery shopping, seasoning a cast iron skillet, pretending to have your life together through meal prep, and discovering your rain jacket has been lying to you for who knows how long.

It wasn't an extraordinary weekend.

It was just a good one.

Too short, a little wet, and filled with the kind of completely self-inflicted misfortune that somehow becomes funnier the moment it's over.

Those ordinary little mishaps have a way of reminding me that life doesn't have to be remarkable to be memorable.

A Moment to Reflect

Maybe one of life's greatest skills is learning to laugh at ourselves.

We can't control the weather, faulty rain jackets, or the occasional case of soggy tatas.

But we can choose whether those moments become frustrations or funny stories we'll tell for years. I would love to hear one of your stories.
